When he first announced, the following was true:
He's for packing the court and universal healthcare. So far so good (although the devil's in the details). But he's against Chelsea Manning, so fuck him.

There are other reasons why he's terrible, too! Both in his past, and in how he's repositioned himself since.

• He fired his town's first black police chief due to the chief having recorded conversations with white officers "us[ing] racist language", and the national lens being focused back on this area, alongside issues he has to deal with in his ongoing role as mayor, hasn't been handled well by him.
• Like every centrist, before he was running he supported M4A and now of course pretends he never did.
• One of Facebook's first 300 users
• As Mayor, Pete Buttigieg removed traffic lights from an intersection by a public bus stop . . . when a Black 11-year-old was killed at the intersection, Mayor Pete blamed the kid for darting across the street.
• Buttigieg in 2013 on Petraeus: "I think 50 or 100 years from now we’ll look at the approach he brought to the conflict, and conclude that it was a radically progressive vision."
